About BDA
Bensinger, DuPont & Associates (BDA) is a national provider dedicated
to promoting healthy outcomes for the workplace, employees, individuals
and their families. BDA provides employee assistance programs (EAP)
and work-life services, training and education, compulsive gambling
services, drug testing management and specialized clinical help lines
and services.
The Prescription Drug Research Center (PDRC) is a subsidiary of BDA
that provides consultation and research to monitor the nonmedical use
of specific prescribed controlled substances and to reduce the nonmedical
use of these medicines.
Principals and Staff
BDA President and CEO is
Peter B. Bensinger, the former Administrator
of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Illinois Department
of Corrections. BDA Executive Vice President and Medical Director is
Robert L. DuPont, M.D., the first Director of the U.S. National Institute
on Drug Abuse (NIDA), and clinical professor of psychiatry at Georgetown
Medical School. He is a national leader in addiction medicine and an
expert in prevention and treatment in the workplace. Together, Mr. Bensinger
and Dr. DuPont have pioneered efforts to find effective solutions to
many important behavioral problems affecting the workplace.
BDA was founded in 1982 to provide Drug-Free Workplace consultation
and policy development. BDA began providing EAP services in 1986. Today,
BDA provides services that have expanded to support the evolving needs
of businesses.
BDA has offices in Chicago, Washington DC, and San Diego
along with a nationwide network of providers to provide services to
