Workplace Drug/Alcohol Prevention Services: Fitness for Duty

BDA offers a full range of Fitness for Duty (FFD) services to assist employers in meeting the more stringent requirements of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission under 10 CFR 26.

Policy and Program Assistance
BDA ensures that FFD programs meet all regulatory and good practice requirements including policy development and review, training development and review, drug and alcohol testing review, suitable inquiry review, and employee assistance review.

Training

BDA will provide on-site and computer-based training for employee awareness, supervisory, and escort training as required by §26.21 and §26.22.

Program Audits
BDA can perform the annual program audits required under §26.80, including laboratory audits as required by the Rule. BDA’s auditors are ANSII certified and have completed more than 55 industry audits since 1989.

Employee Assistance

Full service EAP support including employee and family assistance, incident counseling and support.

Outage Support

BDA can provide pre-access general health screening, drug and alcohol testing, psychological testing, and FFD employee training. BDA will schedule these activities in conjunction with the outage schedule. This ensures that all contractors involved in the outage have completed these requirements prior to their reporting to work for the licensee.
