via BDAs toll free Help Line. When someone realizes they have a problem,
they want help now! All calls crisis as well as non-urgent calls
are answered by the live voice of a clinician qualified to provide clinical
assessment, diagnosis, counseling, WorkLife consultation, referral and crisis
intervention services. No call is ever sent to an automated system.
Referral Services
Thousands of qualified referral resources are available through the BDA
Nationwide Provider Network. If an outside referral is needed, a wide variety
of factors are considered, including quality of care, geographical access, support
services, cost, follow-up and preferred provider guidelines, as well as cultural,
ethnic and gender concerns.
WorkLifeServices
BDAs WorkLife Services meet special needs not covered under other traditional
benefit plans, including those specifically developed in response to the needs
of working parents and caregivers, and employees and family members dealing
with financial and legal problems. BDA counselors help employees and family
members become better informed on how to access available resources that will

In-Person Counseling
Experienced counselors
are available to conduct comprehensive, face-to-face assessments and counseling
sessions to help with individual, couples and family therapy, assisting employees
and/or family members with problem identification, analysis and solution. Our
counselors are dedicated to helping solve problems for individuals and family
members.
Follow-up and Case Management
With each individual, BDA counselors follow-up as long as appropriate
to achieve long-term problem resolution and to promote successful outcomes for
employees and family members.
Program Promotion
BDA works closely with client-organizations in promoting the use of the
EAP including providing eye catching posters, wallet cards, newsletters
and brochures to increase employee awareness and utilization of services.
Wellness Workshops
BDA recognizes that prevention and wellness promotion are vital. With
the development of your EAP, you may select workshop programs tailored to your
own needs, or select from a list of popular wellness workshops, such as stress
management, team-building, conflict resolution, parenting, elder-care,
violence/rage prevention, and smoking cessation.
Critical Incident Debriefing
Counseling teams are available 24 hours a day to provide on-site
trauma counseling for any sudden tragedy such as occupational accidents,
sudden deaths or natural disasters. Our experienced teams offer support and
guidance for employees and their family members, supervisors, and employers
during extremely stressful and catastrophic times.
Management Consultation
Every BDA Employee Assistance Program includes management consultation
and policy and procedural guideline development. Drafting an EAP policy takes
into consideration reference to existing organizational policies and procedures,
and a variety of factors unique to each workplace environment and philosophy.
Organizational Assistance/Change
Management
Reaction to change from such things as restructuring, mergers, downsizing,
or business growth can cause human and financial loss in the workplace. The
ever-increasing awareness by employers of the negative effects organizational
change poses to the workplace has led to implementation of more and more programs
developed to help organizations successfully manage change initiatives indicative
of rapidly changing business climates.
